Sagarmatha Engineering College was established in the year 2010 by a group of professionals dedicated to excellence in engineering education. The college is a community of intellectuals, faculty members, staff and students that encourages and supports pupils in their quest for a deeper understanding of technology, and fosters a personal commitment to lifelong learning, intellectual growth and the enduring values of engineering education. It is determined to become the Center of Excellence by motivating and supporting students in their expedition for quality education, enhancing their intellectual growth while keeping fees affordable and competitive with those in the region.

   Infrastructure:

The college has approximately 11 ropanies of land on lease and about 10 ropanies of its own property. The college has six different administrative and academic buildings

    Laboratory:

The college has state of art laboratory set-up in which the students can test, verify and explore the thing they have learned theoretically in the classroom. These laboratories house latest equipment and components which can also be used for research and development. Some of the major laboratories of the college are:

    Faculty strength:

All the departments of the college are embellished by the qualified and well experienced faculty members most of whom have nearly two decades of experience in engineering education. They have been involved in national and international educational and research activities which has benefited the students and have encouraged them to perform better in their field.

The college has maintained 1:15 teacher-student ratio as per norms and standards of Nepal Engineering Council and Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University.

    Library:

The college library contains more than ten thousand books. It has the latest national and international Journals, Conference Proceedings, Newsletters and magazines in the library. Students have access to the library even in off-campus hours. The college has a separate literature section inside the library.
