Guidance for those who got selection mail or Call from Embassy

Congratulations to all who have received the selection mail or call from the Embassy of India, Kathmandu. Now, it's time to complete the document verification process and collect your Provisional Award of Letter (PAOL).

Documents Required for Verification (Original + 3 Notarized Copies)
Make sure to bring the following documents in the given order for a smooth verification process:

Academic Documents (Class 10 & 12) - [Do Notary]:

  • Transcript or Marksheet
  • Provisional or Passed Certificate (issued by Board)
  • Character Certificate (issued by school/college)
  • Migration Certificate

Citizenship Certificate or Passport (of both candidate & parent) - [Do Notary]

  • Must be translated into English (even if it already has an English version)

Bank Voucher of NPR 400/- (Original copy, do not notarize)

Printout of the Selection Email (No need to notarize)

1️⃣ Which universities publish the COMPEX Scholarship results till date?

▶️ The list of the universities & institute that published their results are provided in the article attached. It will be updated everyday in order to make the information clear and available to all.

2️⃣ Can I authorize someone else to collect the PAOL on my behalf?

▶️ No, the candidate must be present along with a parent or a duly authorized guardian to collect the PAOL. 

3️⃣ What happens if I miss the document verification date at the embassy?

▶️ If you miss it, you may lose the opportunity to collect the PAOL, which could delay or forfeit your scholarship.
▶️ If you are unable to attend due to a genuine reason, contact the embassy immediately to reschedule or explain your situation.

4️⃣ How to check results?

▶️ Selected students will get either mail or call. There is no other way to check results.

5️⃣ Can I apply for the scholarship again if I missed the opportunity this year?

▶️ Yes, if you were not selected this year, you can reapply for the COMPEX Scholarship next year. Make sure to keep an eye on the official announcement for the next application cycle.

6️⃣ What happens if I don’t receive a call or mail from the embassy?

7️⃣ Is there a possibility of getting selected after the university publishes its result?

▶️ Yes, if some selected students decline the scholarship, the embassy may offer the available seats to waitlisted candidates. If you haven’t received a selection mail yet, stay alert for further updates.

8️⃣ Can I change my assigned college or course?

▶️ No, once the scholarship is awarded, you cannot change your assigned university or course. The seats are allocated based on availability and predefined criteria.

9️⃣ Will results be published on Saturdays and Sundays? (Saturday Sunday ko result aauxa ki nai?)

▶️ Most official updates are released on working days (Monday–Friday). However, in some cases, results or selection emails may be sent during the weekend as well. Keep checking your email regularly.

🔟 Why did I get selected in a college that I didn’t choose during the application?

▶️ The selection process is based on seat availability in different universities. While you may have listed your preferred colleges during the application, the Embassy of India and the concerned authorities allocate seats based on:

📌Merit ranking and performance in the COMPEX exam.
📌University preferences and requirements.
📌The goal of ensuring that all available seats are filled.

▶️ The official call from the Embassy of India, Kathmandu will come from 01-4439926. If you receive a call from any other number, be cautious and verify the information before proceeding.

1️⃣2️⃣ What should I do if I don’t have an original migration certificate?

▶️ No need to worry. Carry a photocopy of your migration certificate when visiting the embassy. The original certificate will be required at your college/university during admission, so you can submit it later.

▶️ You need to prioritize the colleges according to your preference and reply to the email with your chosen order of preference. Make sure to reply within the given deadline to secure your seat.

▶️ The remaining results may take 7 to 10 more days to be fully published.

1️⃣5️⃣ Does being shortlisted mean I am selected for the scholarship?

▶️ No, only those who receive an official email from the embassy mentioning the PAOL letter are officially selected.
